Greetings!

Hi all, and welcome to my new blog, Peace, Love and Crochet! I created this blog in hopes to share my work, perhaps do some tutorials, and just spread the love! Crocheting has proved to be a sort of therapy for me, so it's only natural that I want to share this joy!

I first dabbled in the world of crocheting in 2012. I desperately wanted to make a baby blanket for my son before his birth (at the time that I came up with this idea, I had only about 6 weeks left). Unfortunately, I could not figure it out and lo and behold he was born with no baby blanket.

It wasn't until he was nearly 2 1/2 that I finally learned this craft and I've been hooked (no pun intended) ever since! The first blanket that I made for him was for Christmas 2014 and it was nothing more than hdc's repeated - very simple.

Fast forward to almost 8 months later and I whipped up this bad boy for him...
This was a pattern that I followed from the RepeatCrafterMe blog.

I was amazed at what I could do with some yarn and a hook. It no longer seemed old-ladyish anymore. I was soon learning that I could create some pretty cool items, like this Philadelphia Eagles afghan!

Furthermore, I could make necessary items, like hats and scarves, at a relatively low cost for my family. The fact that I could be creative in this endeavor was an added bonus.

While I haven't been crocheting for long (a little over a year), I am always amazed at how creative you can get with this skill. I started off making a simple blanket and in turn have made slipper socks, ear warmers, hats, scarves, and bags - and that is nothing compared to some of the creations that I have seen other ladies create, such as life size dolls!

So, all in all, I welcome you to my page! Feel free to leave a comment, ask any questions, and subscribe! I'm looking forward to this journey in the blogging world.
